National Mom’s Nite out is May 7th, a few days before we shower our mom’s, wives, sisters and in-laws with chocolate, flowers and jewelry on Mother’s Day. So, what is the difference between the two days, I wondered? Is this just Mother’s Day: Part I? Luckily their website answered what this First Annual Mom’s Nite Out is all about.
As the website explains, many mothers focus on other mothers in their life on Mother’s Day, so what they really want is a night off! And the best part is, you can make Mom’s Nite Out whatever you want it to be. Mothers across the nation are creating local events, both public and private. But moms can also join in on the fun online through social networks like Twitter, Skype and chat rooms. The organizers are even hosting giveaways of sponsor and donor gifts to moms (we decided to give away a gift certificate for free housecleaning…show me one mom who wouldn’t want that!)
