MaidPro's average minimum investment is $60,000. This investment goes toward your initial franchise fee, additional territory, establishing your office presence, marketing, payroll, overhead, and other expenses required to get started. Most other residential cleaning franchisors require $90,000 and up due to their higher initial fees and royalty structures.

MaidPro's franchise fee is $7,900, and that fee includes the price of your base territory. Most other franchisor's franchise fees can total from $30,000 all the way up to $80,000. MaidPro keeps your costs low by dealing directly with you rather than using sub-franchisors. Not only does it cost more, but also sub-franchisors just don't know the business as well as the people running it. And we would rather see you be more successful by spending those dollars on phone systems, office space, or increased marketing.

MaidPro's territories are among the largest in the industry. Even companies claiming to have "jumbo" territories can't compete. Our territories are large and lower costing because we give you your base territory free. Included in your franchise fee is 7,500 Qualified Households. We talk with each of our franchisees personally, and create an exclusive territory that will help them meet their business goals. Do the math: no other franchisor offers you the same size territory for the same price!

Not only do we start you off with your base territory free, but we also charge the lowest additional territory fee and have the highest standards for Qualified Households. While other franchisors charge you anywhere from $.90 to $1.50 per each Qualified Household, we charge between $.65 to $.85 maximum. This is just another way to save you more money upfront that can be put into your business for a quicker start.

Some franchisors consider a Qualified Household any household with $50,000 or $60,000 in income, and then charge you additional money for these households. At MaidPro we consider a Household Qualified at an income level over $75,000. Compared with other franchisors, MaidPro can save you 20% in most demographic areas by allowing you to receive all the households in your territory that earn between $50,000 and $75,000 yet only pay for those that are over $75,000.

MaidPro's royalty fee starts at only 6.5% of gross sales and decreases to as low as 3.5% as your business grows. Imagine the savings in comparison to the typical 7% royalty fee! Of course, these lower operating costs translate into greater profit for you. What's more important is what you get from your royalty fee - and with MaidPro you get everything. Watch out! Other franchisors "nickel and dime" their franchisees with software licensing fees and over-pricing cleaning supplies, just to mention a few.

MaidPro does not charge a flat national marketing fee. Most other franchises charge a full fixed 2% or more of gross sales for national marketing, which brings your ongoing fees to nearly 10% of your gross sales! At MaidPro, we think our Franchisees should be the ones who decide where and when they spend their marketing dollars. About every 6 months our Franchisees vote if and how much they want to spend on national marketing. Why would any Franchisee want a fixed national marketing fee when they can decide based on the results of how well the marketing is performing. Of course, if our franchisees find that they need regional or national marketing, we will happily coordinate it.

We have the most contemporary and effective marketing materials in the industry. Manage all of your marketing needs through our exclusive Intranet site: it takes just minutes to send a direct mail piece to a demographically targeted list, place pre-printed inserts in your local newspaper or order marketing materials like magnets and car wraps. Choose from our seasonally updated print materials, or take advantage of our graphic design team for special projects. Other marketing includes award winning radio and TV spots, banner advertisements, sponsorship programs, and a host of other ideas.

Important Note on Franchisors handling marketing: Be careful if your Franchisor requires you to spend most or all of your marketing directly through them or a closely connected marketing company. Many Franchisors who do this actually earn more money with their marketing company then they do with royalty fees.

Every week we host multiple "MaidPro Workshops" for all of our owners. These workshops are used to gather all owners together and utilize the synergy of MaidPro. The workshops are conducted via telephone and cover all aspects of running your MaidPro office, from hiring and training to rolling out new tools, supplies and ideas.

The MaidPro Call Center can help you handle those extra busy days or if you just need some help with handling customer estimates. Our staff will give you a helping hand by professionally handling your customer calls, giving estimates based upon your prices, and even scheduling appointments. You many not need this service but it's here if you do.
Managing a service business can be a challenge. We offer a complete business management software solution that gives you the power to run your business more effectively and more easily than any other Franchisor. In a single database, our software contains numerous wizards to drastically cut the time it takes you to perform routine business functions such as invoicing, estimates and quoting, scheduling, management and sales reporting. Most Franchisors have weekly, monthly, or annual software license fees. MaidPro doesn't charge you a license fee to use it and we even have a technical support department to handle most of your computing needs. We are so confident that our software outperforms all other software in our industry that we'll give you an online demonstration to prove our point - just ask! Interested in finding out more about the software? Click here.

Most Franchisors require you to have an automobile for each team. This just doesn't make good business sense to us. We know just how devastating it is to your bottom line and your time to be overseeing a fleet of vehicles. Just a simple calculation of running only 5 vehicles at a cost of $600 per month is almost $40,000 per year. That's $40,000 out of your pocket! Remember, when you take the car payments, insurance, depreciation, maintenance, and the time it costs you to oversee your fleet those costs add up. MaidPro is flexible; we only require one company vehicle per office and help you turn the car into a moving billboard for your business. The point is, we let you decide on the rest.

While other Franchisors dictate the exact amount of employees you must have on each team, we feel that this just doesn't make sense, or for that matter cents. After being in the residential cleaning business and seeing the many different needs of our customers we know the need for flexibility with team structuring. At MaidPro it's easy to have different team sizes for different jobs because our software is built to handle this. Unfortunately, other Franchisors built their software and systems around a single size team structure. These Franchisors now cannot adapt and are stuck defending their systems. Again, the point is that you decide.

MaidPro does not require you to make any purchases through us. Other Franchisors will give you a list of items you must purchase through them. However, we do use our buying power to negotiate the best possible prices from wholesalers and allow you to purchase directly from them with no middleman. As a business owner you save money that you can invest in your business and grow it more quickly. We have everything you need, but the purchasing decisions are yours.

Many Franchisors prohibit their owners from conducting any type of commercial work. Those that do allow commercial cleaning require large upfront investments in "their commercial equipment" and then charge separate royalties on that commercial work. We feel it should be up to our owners to decide if they want to provide commercial cleaning and for those that do we provide the tools and support. All commercial work done by our owners are considered under the same royalty structure and never have to be divided out.

Our technical / computer support is highly adept at helping offices directly no matter where you might be located. With your permission, we can remotely take control of your computer and perform many of the tasks needed. Unlike other Franchisors, there are no fees for technical support.
MaidPro does not expect you to file weekly sales reports and pay weekly royalty fees like most Franchisors in our industry. That's 52 reports and 52 payments you are responsible for every year! We respect your valuable time, so we designed our software to handle the tasks of preparing reports for you. We bill for our fees only once a month. No other business requires payment every week, why should we?
