Don't even think of getting that sort of attention with a franchisor with hundreds of franchisees. Most franchisees are treated great until they sign the Franchise Agreement. MaidPro's franchise fee is $7,900, and that fee includes the price of your base territory. Most other franchisors charge a franchise fee that can total from $30,000 all the way up to $80,000. MaidPro keeps your costs low by dealing directly with you rather than using sub-franchisors. Not only does it cost more, but also sub-franchisors just don't know the business as well as the people running it. And, we would rather see you be more successful by spending those dollars on phone systems, office space, or increased marketing.


MaidPro's royalty fee starts at only 6.5% of gross sales and decreases to as low as 3.5% as your business grows. Imagine the savings in comparison to the typical flat 7% royalty fee! Of course, these lower operating costs translate into greater profit for you. What's more important is what you get from your royalty fee...with MaidPro you get everything. Watch out! Other franchisors "nickel and dime" their franchisees with software licensing fees and national marketing fees, just to mention a few.


No. Unlike almost every other franchisor, MaidPro does not mandate our franchisees purchase cleaning supplies, uniforms, software, insurance, and office forms directly from us. However, we do have everything available that you will need to run your business successfully. Not only do we think you should be able to decide where to shop, we want nothing to do with selling supplies and vacuums. Other franchisors lose their focus by spending valuable company resources duplicating and adding costs to what other companies already do well.


MaidPro does not expect you to file weekly sales reports and pay weekly royalty fees like most franchisors in our industry. That's 52 reports and 52 payments you are responsible for every year! We respect your valuable time, so we designed our software to handle the tasks of preparing reports for you. We bill our fees only once a month. No other business requires payment every week, why should we?


MaidPro charges a small 1% national marketing fee which is directed primarily towards online sponsored search advertising. Most other franchises charge a full 2% or more of gross sales for national marketing, which brings your ongoing fees to nearly 10% of your gross sales! At MaidPro, we think you should be the one who decides where and when you spend your marketing dollars. We will only fund certain national marketing when it's necessary. Our local marketing is very effective so we can limit the need for most national marketing efforts. Of course, if our franchisees find that they need additional regional or national marketing, we would be happy to coordinate it.


We have the most contemporary and effective marketing materials in the industry. Manage all your marketing needs through our exclusive Intranet site: it takes just minutes to send a direct mail piece to a demographically targeted list, place pre-printed inserts in your local newspaper or order marketing materials like magnets or car wraps. Choose from our seasonally updated print materials, or take advantage of our own graphic design team for special projects. Other marketing includes award winning radio and TV spots, banner advertisements, sponsorship programs, and a host of other ideas.


MaidPro's territories are among the largest in the industry. Even companies claiming to have "jumbo" territories can't compete. Our territories are large and lower costing because we give you your base territory free. Included in your franchise fee is 7,500 Qualified Households. We talk with each of our franchisees personally, and create an exclusive territory that will help them meet their business goals. Do the math: no other Franchisor offers you the same size territory for the same price!


Good Question! You never have to pay for each home in your territory, and here's why: A qualified household is a household that has certain characteristics which have proven to have an increased chance of using house cleaning services. To keep things simple, we consider a household to be "qualified" if the household income is greater than $75,000 each year. If the territory you want has 30,000 households, it is likely that only 15,000 of them will be "qualified." But don't worry, you still get the other 15,000 households at no cost.


Most Franchisors require you to have an automobile for each team. This just doesn't make good business sense to us. We know just how devastating it is to your bottom line and your time to be overseeing a fleet of vehicles. Just a simple calculation of running only 5 vehicles at a cost of $600 per month is almost $40,000 per year. That's $40,000 out of your pocket! Remember, when you take the car payments, insurance, depreciation, maintenance, and the time it costs you to oversee your fleet those costs add up. MaidPro is flexible; we only require one company vehicle per office and help you turn the car into a moving billboard for your business. The point is we let you decide on the rest.


MaidPro is the most flexible franchisor in the industry. Make no mistake, this flexibility is an integral part of our system. We only accept business people with a track record of success and integrity; as a result we find most owners demand the freedom to run their own business. Other Franchisors must remain rigid to keep weaker franchisees functioning properly and that may force you into one way of running your business. An example might be dictating how many people should work together on each job. How can this be pre-determined when different areas require different approaches and different customers have different needs? You will best know the needs of your customers, so no one can decide better what approach to take in your business.


MaidPro does not require you to make any purchases through us. Other Franchisors will give you a list of items you must purchase through them. However, we do use our buying power to negotiate the best possible prices from wholesalers and allow you to purchase directly from them with no middleman. As a business owner you save money that you can then invest in your business and grow it more quickly. We have everything you need, but the purchasing decisions are yours.


We feel it's a waste of our time and your money. While other Franchisors lose their focus and spend time becoming a retailer, we simply focus on improving our systems. We would never waste our franchisees' money becoming a retailer when we are able to negotiate overnight free delivery on many of the supplies you'll need. Look out for franchisors that tell you they have a "special" vacuum or "special" supplies. Do you really think a residential cleaning franchisor is spending more money on R&D than DuPont, Proctor & Gamble, or Hoover? The only thing special is the extra revenue they get selling everything to you.



MaidPro offers every franchisee a two-week extensive training program that consists of the right mix of hands-on and classroom training. After completion of this program you feel confident to open your doors. But our training and support doesn't start or stop there - from the day you join our organization you are assigned a dedicated support person who begins working with you on our "SmoothStart" training. We also plan visits to your office for follow-up training and are in daily contact with you. On an ongoing basis we also offer "Super Support" where a staff member will come directly to your office and work with you on your needs.
