How to Last as a Small Business Owner

How to Last as a Small Business Owner

Byron Bailey, owner of MaidPro of Sandy, UT, is celebrating his 10 year business anniversary. And while owning a business isn’t always easy, Byron should be proud of his accomplishments over the last decade. So, what advice does he have for the rest of the small business owners out there?

  • Get involved in the community. “We have supported local causes in our area like the Ronald McDonald House and the Boys & Girls Club. My number one accomplishment is the tremendous work we have done with the Utah Cancer Foundation.” (MaidPro of Sandy has partnered with the Utah Cancer Foundation to give free cleaning to cancer patients through a program called Housekeeping Helpers since 2006.)
  • Own a business you can be proud of.  “I’m proud of the fact that we’ve been able to keep employees this long. I’ve got family (brothers, sisters, and other relatives) that are all working for me.”
  • Persevere. “Hang in there for the first two years,” and keep “doing some fine tuning within your business, which will enable you to last.”

Byron, congratulations on your ten year anniversary!
